Kourtney

An avid skier and wordsmith, Kourtney and her husband live in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho. Being a writer on the Legend of Genji team is one of her greatest joys in life, where she can use her English degree and passion for all things nerdy to create the best story she can. She also engages with Genji fans on social media and is trying her hand at being an amateur artist as a New Year’s goal. Along with writing, skiing and drawing, Kourtney enjoys D&D, sushi, and ice skating.

Caitlyn
Writer & Meme Master

Caitlyn spent her childhood imagining fantastical stories and settings but it was only when she was in college that she was introduced to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Joining the Legend of Genji writing team was just another step in her creative journey. She is excited to further the story that Macky created. When not writing, Caitlyn works as a field biologist, studying the ecology of different bird species. She often has to disappear into the woods for days at a time. Even though she bounces between jobs, she knows the rest of the team will always be waiting for her.

In addition to writing, Caitlyn enjoys hiking, camping, D&D, and playing video games.

Dray
Writer

I am 26 years old with a Master's as a Literacy Specialist.  I am currently teaching kindergarten, but my aim is to teach middle and high school English.  Reading, writing, and storytelling in general are hobbies of mine that bring joy to my life! AtLA and LoK were some of the best shows I have ever watched, and they have shown me that monumental storytelling isn't just restricted to the old classics we read in school. I'm incredibly excited to be working on The Legend of Genji, and can't wait to see it become the kind of inspiring and thrilling piece of fiction I know it will be!

Juan
Artist

At first underestimating the show when he was 7 years old, Juan fell in love with Avatar: The Last Airbender when he watched his very first episode: The Waterbending Scroll. There he found out more about the plot and was amazed by waterbending. He then started fantasizing about creating his own story, and so proceeded to doodle and draw comics of his own growing up. A loyal fan, he beheld the finale of the show at 10 years old and was left devastated when there would be no continuation to it. That is, until he came across the very first chapter of The Legend of Korra, having aired in April, 2012. It was then when his Avatar-imbued passion burst within him once more.

Juan is a 23-year-old Argentinean student, currently living in Buenos Aires where he was born. He is an avid artist, language-lover, writer and teacher. He was picked to be part of the project in March 2019 and now he is the lead artist of the team, and is also part of the writing team. One of his life aspirations is to work at Disney Studios, perhaps at the Animation or Character design department. His favourite bending art is waterbending, along with all its substyles. His favourite Genji character is Maya.

Parker
Artist

Parker is an anime and comic enthusiast, and a huge fan of the classic Avatar franchise. He currently works as an artist in the popular Avatar fan project, the Legend of Genji, as well as the project lead in the Avatar webtoon phenomenon Hikar’s Spiritual Chronicles. Both stories deal with the consequences of the Legend of Korra and their respective versions of Korra’s earth successor.

Parker is a 21-year-old Spanish artist, from the beautiful capital of Madrid, Spain. Comics and visual storytelling are his ultimate passion alongside his current architecture degree, with the goal of crafting good stories with awesome characters and action, like Spider-man or My Hero Academia, as well as positive messages to improve the world.

Parker is also an independent musician who makes Synthwave/Cyberpunk music, with an album in the works and one EP released.

Cam
Artist

At a young age Cam was taken away with the vivid and breathtaking world presented in Avatar: The Last Airbender. So much in fact she considers it the catalyst toward her love of animated media. While currently located in Montana she actually spent about 17 years of her life living in Alaska, which she thinks gives her a unique perspective. Currently 23, (her birthday is in March) she is hoping that her time here on the Genji crew will help her with comic creating such as story boarding amongst many other things. She is currently in the midst of writing her own story but a lot of that is very hush hush as of this moment. When not working in Genji she spends her time knitting and crocheting, along with designing stickers for fun (and for sale? Whose to say).

Kris
Artist

Kris has loved creating stories ever since she can remember, and as she has learned how to draw, she could bring these stories to life! Of course, one of the great stories ever told was Avatar The Last Airbender. Growing up, this particular story had a lot of influence on her life, which lasts until this day. She is happy to be a part of this amazing project and help another great story come to life!

Bia
Artist

Bia is a non-binary ace/pan Brazilian artist, with a master's degree in game development under their belt. Intrigued by character creation/design/development at a young age, and that was what made them draw and write stuff, which eventually led them to the game development path. They watched AtLA when it first aired in Brazil in 2006, and the first movie in English that they watched without subtitles was the infamous AtLA live-action movie that happened to be in the theaters when they were traveling abroad - liked it, but then when watched it again a few months later they realized all the problems in it. Bia also loves animals, plants, and space stuff. They have 4 cacti (which are to be named yet), a white jasmine plant named Lu Ten (because of Uncle Iroh's son), a cockatiel named Pipico, and a sheltie named Thor. Obviously loves playing games, and try to learn about different mythologies, cultures, and new languages as a hobby. Currently trying to become a full-time game character designer, without much success, but still hopeful that will achieve this wish.
